A pure elixir of white balsamic condiment that has an exquisitely scented sweet-fruity sweetness, with the subtlety of lemon from Menton.
White balsamic vinegar is a sweet and tangy condiment from Modena in Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region. Made with Trebbiano grape must, it has a well-balanced sweet-sour flavour that is brightened by the addition of lemon juice from Menton in the south of France.
Use this organic white balsamic as a finishing touch for oysters, seafood and grilled fish. Chefs love to use it in salad dressings as it has a milder flavour than dark balsamic and won’t turn your salad leaves brown. The sweet-tart flavour is a great match for bitter leaves like endive and radicchio, as well as Italian hard cheeses, roasted squash and Brussels sprouts. Drizzle a little over a goat’s cheese salad or ripe sliced tomatoes seasoned with flaky sea salt.
White balsamic vinegar is also used in cocktails and sodas, adding a tangy base note to a Martini or a peach spritz. Try adding a dash to sweet syrups and sauces for fruit salads, ice cream and frozen yoghurt.
